Enchantment Scans is a scanlation team. In other words, we translate manga from Japanese and/or Chinese and edit them onto the scans to produce English versions of the manga. All scanlations are made by fans for fans for no profit of our own (which means they’re free for all of you out there ^_~). (If you bought any of our scans, you have been ripped off! Please report any site that distributes our scans for money.)

Amidst all the backbreaking hard work, headaches, and strenuous nonprofit commitment, why do we do what we do? The answer is simple: we hope to share our love of manga with the world in hopes that we will be joined by other manga-lovers. For some, manga is hard to reach in their countries, so we also hope for our scanlations to reach those manga-lovers. And nothing beats the joy and satisfaction of knowing that we can bring others happiness.

History

The petit staff of Eternal Enchantment gathered one day in the forum, now more knowledgeable in the goings and makings of scanlation teams after uploading and hosting projects on the site, and saddened by the discontinuation of several favorite projects, and started discussing the possibility of creating a scanlation team of our own. It was a naive process, and the staff were mostly inexperienced and short on teammates, but our love for manga and wish to share it with others overcame doubts and hesitations.

So, on the one-year anniversary of our beloved hosting site, Eternal Enchantment, we opened up with our first Enchantment Scans release.

Enchantment Scans started out small, and slow. However, we soon re-organized ourselves efficiently and started spewing out releases by the bucketload. In our ambitious expansion, we made friends with other teams while working together on joint projects, and were joined by many new members eager to contribute their part to our cause. Enchantment Scans today has grown much more than any of us have predicted, and we hope to keep bringing you releases for a long time to come! Thank you to our dedicated staff and our lovely supporters!
